Lunchtime Arrangements

• Children can bring their own packed lunch, or have a free school dinner.
• Children eat in the hall. We have a rolling programme so that all the children can be accommodated.
• The children are encouraged to remember table manners and to eat sensibly and quietly in their seats.
• We ask the children to wash their hands before sitting down to lunch.
• Children who have packed lunch are encouraged to eat their lunch and return anything they have not eaten to you.
• We will endeavour to let you know if they are not eating enough.
• Parents are politely asked to avoid fizzy drinks, sweets and chocolate bars. Tins, glass bottles, lollipops and boiled sweets are not allowed for health and safety reasons.
• Please be aware of pupils who may be allergic to nuts when selecting items for your child’s packed lunch.  Rose Lane Primary is a nut free school.
• Note: All children should also be sent to school with a reusable water bottle, for use throughout the day, whether they are having a packed lunch or school dinner.
