ARP Teaching Assistant

 

Scale 4 (Actual Salary £19,509 - £20,995) depending on experience)

8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday (term time only) with 30 minutes lunch

 

Are you looking for a new challenge?  We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to our new Additional Resource Provision (ARP) for pupils with autism which opened in September 2021 and is expanding.  We are looking to appoint a TA who is enthusiastic, motivated and determined to make a difference to our children’s lives and who is able to support the development of the ARP.  We are a fully inclusive school, highly regarded for our work with SEND children.   S/he will need to keep pupils on task, maintain good order in the classroom, as well as maintaining the health and safety of the pupils. 

 

The person we require will:

  • Have a very good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths)
  • Have NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent)
  • Be dedicated to the development of children with special needs
  • Have good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Work with a genuine child-centred approach
  • Be able to work as part of a team yet at times take initiative and work without close direction or supervision.
  • Be extremely patient, adaptable, willing to listen and have a good sense of humour

Teaching Assistant

Scale 4 (Actual Salary £18,116 - £19,495 depending on experience)

8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday (term time only) with 30 minutes lunch

 

Due to staff promotion we are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful applicant will support a class as well as being required to take small intervention groups and working one to one with individuals.  We are ideally looking for a TA who has worked across a Primary environment, with EYFS experience. 

 

The person we require will:

  • Have a very good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths)
  • Have NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards the qualification
  • Have successful previous experience of working with children ideally in an EYFS environment
  • Have clear knowledge and understanding of the principles of child development, and learning processes.
  • Have the ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Be able to work as part of a team yet at times take initiative and work without close direction or supervision.
  • Be extremely patient, adaptable, willing to listen and have a good sense of humour.
