Homework at Rose Lane Primary School
At Rose Lane Primary, we encourage all children to read at least four times a week and record their progress in their reading diaries. Regular reading is key to developing strong literacy skills, and we greatly appreciate your support with this at home.
In addition, all children have access to Purple Mash, our online learning platform, which is primarily used by children in Years 1 to 6 to support their learning.
For children in Years 3 to 6, we also use TT Rockstars, an engaging tool to help improve times tables knowledge.
From Year 6, homework will gradually increase to help prepare children for the transition to secondary school. This helps build independence and ensures they are well-equipped for the demands of the next stage in their education.
By engaging with these resources, we aim to nurture a love of learning and strengthen essential skills both in and out of the classroom.
