Wear yellow on Friday 14th October

Dear Parents and Carers

 

Next Monday is World Mental Health Day and for the whole week the children will be looking at ways that they can support their own mental health. As always we as a school will be taking part in the up and coming Young Minds Event. This year saying #Hello Yellow on this World Mental Health Day is a little thing we can do to make a BIG difference to young people’s mental health. At Rose Lane Primary school, this is a great opportunity to continue to bring our students together and show how we all care about how they feel. It’s a chance to emphasise the importance of looking out for each other and get everyone feeling hopeful about the future.

 

On Friday 14th October your children will be taking part in activities to promote their own understanding of mental health. We would like all our pupils to wear something that is yellow. This could be an item of clothing e.g. T-Shirt, Tie, Dress, Hat or Yellow accessories, it could be as simple as your child making a yellow badge for themselves.
